Earlier this summer we asked you to help us name a lip balm that would benefit Metastatic Breast Cancer. We asked for a name that would reflect both our disdain for all the pink shart that gets sold in the name of “awareness” and that would reflect our love of snark and irreverence. The winning name fit the bill to a T! We had a great response but when it came down to it, this particular entry was simply a hands-down winning name. There was no competition with this one and we hope you like it just as much as we do!
We’ve partnered up with Long Winter Farm out of the great State of Maine (a.k.a. Vactionland), to help raise funds for MBC. A dollar from each tube sold goes directly to breast cancer research (we’ve selected METAvivor Research and Support Inc. as the recipient). This partnership does two things: One, it helps our friends, desperately in need of more money being funneled to the disease that is taking the lives of 113 Americans everyday. Two, it helps support small business and good business. This combination is just what we were looking for and we hope you enjoy getting to know this lovely small company who is doing their part to help make things better in this world.
About That Balm…
“There’s no processing cut, there’s no administrative cut, and there sure as shit is no pink tax. AND it’s unflavored, so you can give it to all your loves currently undergoing treatment. This balm is designed to melt into your lips, not into your jeans! Which is good, because I keep mine in my butt pocket. That would be embarrassing… It’s got lots of yumminess in it: natural beeswax (you’ll smell a little extra honey), unrefined cocoa butter (you’ll smell a little cocoa too), unrefined shea butter, jojoba, sweet almond, and grape seed oils. It’s carefully formulated to give you the perfect balance of protection and softness, so you won’t end up feeling greasy or waxy. My mom says, “Ooo, creeamy” every time she uses hers, if that’s any indication. She has a little flair for the dramatic.”
Owner, Long Winter Farm
It comes in an oval plastic twist-up tube, which holds .15oz/4g and is individually shrink wrapped.
