Our #GIVINGTUESDAY List

It’s Giving Tuesday! Are you having a difficult time deciding where to make your tax deductible donations this year? Let us help you get to know a few organizations you might not otherwise be aware of. We love to GIVE, so this year we put together a list* of our favorite organizations that do good in the breast cancer world and we think they deserve your generosity. Make those end of year write-off’s count and when you’re done, share this list so your friends and family can make them count too!

*List is in no particular order.

1
The MBC Project

This year, GIVE your tumor and medical information to The MBC Project to help impact the future of metastatic breast cancer research and medicine! Help transform our understanding of metastatic breast cancer. If you have metastatic breast cancer, join a nationwide movement of patients, doctors, and scientists by sharing your tumor samples, your medical information, and your voice. Together, we can speed the development of future therapies. The MBC Project

Fred Hutch & The Beth Caldwell Fund

We lost a titan in the world of breast cancer advocacy this November. Let us honor the life and work of our mighty friend, Beth Caldwell by donating to a special fund set aside in her name that will be used specifically for metastatic breast cancer research. Finding a cure for dying cancer patients meant everything to Beth. This fund will go specifically to Dr. Kevin Cheung, an MBC researcher at Fred Hutch who Beth knew and believed in. One of her last messages read: "Get Kevin’s research the money it needs!" Thank you for working to fulfill this wish.

Pink Ink Fund

Amy Black founded The Pink Ink Fund in 2011 almost immediately after beginning the nipple/areola tattooing in response to seeing friends who were concerned about their own nipple/areola tattooing costs who had no health insurance. The need to expand the private donation fund’s reach and services quickly made sense and blossomed from there as she learned about many of the financial hurdles patients could be facing in attaining their desired nipple/areola tattooing. Ranging from things are simple as offsetting service fees to helping them with travel and lodging expenses, Pink Ink Fund aims to help ease the burdens that may impede their path to complete healing post mastectomy.

Give Directly to Patients & Families

This year, instead of (or in addition to) giving to an organization, why not give directly to a friend or family that is currently going through treatment? Give them your time, energy, support, skills, and monetary help. You can do it knowingly or anonymously!
